Passed away, with family by her side, on July 29th, 2018 at the Golden Birches Terrace, Blind River, ON. Evilda, in her 95th year, was the beloved wife of the late Hormidas DuBois. Loving mother of Georges (Nathalie), Willy (Nathalie), Cécile (Jack), Sue (Claude), Colette, André, Louise and the late Rolly (Lola). Dear sister and best friend of Annette (late Michel), Helen (late Ivan), the late Marie (Jâcques), Alexandrine (Paul), Yvonne (Roger), Lila (Bernard), Addie (William), Xavier (Thelma), Alex (Lily), Joseph (Irene), Clifford (Delphina), and Valmore (Fernande). Special grandmother to 26 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Treasured aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Golden Birches Terrace staff for the wonderful care given to Evilda over the past 2 years. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation gratefully accepted.
Visitation will take place at Menard Funeral Home, 72 Lakeside Avenue, Blind River, ON, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and again from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral services at 1030am on Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. James the Greater Parish, Blind River, ON, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery. Father Ignatius Xavier officiating. Following funeral services and burial, a light luncheon will be served in the basement of St. James the Greater Parish.
