Mary Boivin, age 67, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at North Shore Health Network Blind River on February 16th, 2020. She leaves behind her high school sweetheart and loving husband William Boivin as well as her stepsons Michael (Tammy) and Robert (Leanne). She was a loving grandma to Mathieu, Patrick, Alexandre, Cameron, Noah and Tyler. She will also be missed by her loving sister Lesley McGinnis and nieces Sheri (Werner), Kerry (Robert) and Catherine (Shawn). She is pre-deceased by her parents Celina and Jack Legris.

Mary always loved to take care of people especially as she practiced her nursing profession and teaching profession at Cambrian College. She loved to cook and share her creations with family and friends. Mary visited the sick and took time for lonely people. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the Hospital Gift Connection and decorating at her church of St James the Greater. She enjoyed her Red Hat Ladies, her Book Club and Ukulele Group. The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Shamas and the staff at North Shore Health Network Blind River.

Family and friends are invited to St. James the Greater Parish, 44 Lakeside Avenue, Blind River, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11am for funeral mass with Father Lourdu officiating. Luncheon and fellowship in the church hall following service.
