Passed peacefully at North Shore Health Network in Thessalon at the age of 79. Beloved wife for 60 years of Leslie. Loving mother of Scott, Allyn (Lyne), Shelley MacDonald (Jeff), Randy (Cathy) and David (Donna). Cherished grandmother of Mike (Allison), Ryan, Greg (Krystine), Robert, Cassandra, Carina, Gabriel, Matthew, Leah, Molly, Tianna, Kolton, Jasper and Morrigan. Great grandmother of Chloe and Kailyne. Will be missed by siblings Jim, Lee and Margorie as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents James Sr. and Lotti Armstrong as well as siblings Max, Marion, Martha, Donelda, Verna and John.
A long time member of the local quilting club, Edna enjoyed the camaraderie of her many friends. She loved telling stories and jokes as well as sharing her knowledge with others.
Edna was always willing to give of herself for others. Memories live on.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will take place at a later date at the Sowerby Hall.
The family would like to thank Doctors, nurses and staff at the North Shore Health Network-Thessalon, as well as neighbours and friends who helped us during this difficult time.
