PETER ASTLES

November 25, 1936 – December 22, 2018
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side.  At North Shore Heath Centre in Blind River. 

Peter Astles in his 83rd year,  beloved husband of Anne of 60 years.  Loving  father  of Neil Astles (Sudbury), Chris /Suzanne Astles (Blind River) and Pennie /Brian Jackson (Tottenham). Special Poppa to Sarah, Samantha, Brittany, Alex and Joseph. Dear son of the late Alfred and Grace Astles  Dear  brother of Paul /Pat Astles (Blind River) the late Bonnie Bowden and the late Dianne Haney and Brother-in-law to Doug /Vicki Pollock (Kitchener), Joan /Bill Ritchie Kincardine. 

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He loved the many pets, past and present, owned by his children and grand children. Retired technical director of W.C Eaket having designed and overseen the construction of the W.C Eaket technical wing; past Master of Penewobikong Masonic Lodge 487  and Assistant Grand Organist of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the province of Ontario , joining in 1965 in Clinton Ontario affiliating with  Penewobikong in 1966.

Past President of Huron Pines Golf and Country Club, enjoying every moment spent on the course. Served in Royal Canadian Airforce Reserve; member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 189.  

Friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Friday December 28, 2018 from 7 to 9pm.  Memorial service at the Menard Funeral Home on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 10am with The Reverend Norine Pitre officiating inurnment in the niche wall at Hillside Cemetery. Donations to the North Shore Health Network Foundation or the charity of your choice gratefully accepted.

Members of the Masonic order are requested to assemble at the Menard Funeral Home on Saturday December 28, 2018 at 9:45 for a Memorial service for their late V. W. Bro. Peter Astles.
