Work is underway to remove snow from several Elliot Lake municipal buildings after part of the roof at the Lester B Pearson civic centre collapsed Thursday evening.
The city has cancelled or postponed activities at the civic centre, arena, Collins Hall and municipal pool until further notice.
City CAO Dan Gagnon apologized for any inconvenience the closures have caused.
The city engineer was expected to inspect the damage at the civic centre today.
There were no injuries in the partial centre roof collapse.
