For people in the Township of the North Shore concerned about the plan to set up a gravel pit on land inhabited by the federally endangered Blanding's turtle near Lake Lauzon, there's a webinar coming up this month they might want to check out.

It's being put on by Wilderness Committee Ontario and will deal with gravel pits and water protection in Ontario.

Wilderness Committee Ontario campaigner Katie Krelove wrote a recent blog on the North Shore's current plight with the proposed quarry development planned within the Township of the North Shore.

You can read Krelove's report here.

The webinar takes place on Wednesday, June 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. When you RSVP, you will receive a Zoom link by email.

One of the confirmed panelists is Dr. Jacqueline Litzgus, Professor of Biology at Laurentian University, a scientific investigator.

You can register for the webinar here.
