Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is replacing Patrick Brown as the leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives.
Brown resigned yesterday after allegations of sexual misconduct.
Fedeli announced he was running for the leader's position at a news conference in North Bay.
The decision to name Fedeli, the party's finance critic, came after a four-hour caucus meeting this morning.
The veteran MPP is also a two term former mayor of North Bay.
