Well done to these Fatima Saints who competed in the Legion Speech Competition on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Legion Hall in Elliot Lake. Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School had Oliver Smith and Alessio DiGenova compete in the primary division. Oliver placed 2nd and Alessio was the champion.

In the junior division we had Katie Sams Gracie Sprague compete and were both honourable mentions and represented Fatima very well.

The Intermediate Division we had Sydney Tynan-Byrd-Owen, Logan Robinson, Megan Frolick and Matteo DiGenova representing Fatima in the competition.

We are proud to announce that Megan Frolick came in 3rd place and Matteo won the competition and is the intermediate Legion Speech Champion. Well done to all the Saints.

Alessio who wrote about his dog Luna and Matteo who wrote about epilepsy will move on to the next competition in Bruce Mines where all the champions compete.

Big thank you to the legion and Fay Tait for organizing this fantastic event, all parents/ guardians who supported our students and the students themselves who poured in hours of hard work to write, memorize and present these amazing speeches.
