Suspects sought following Bruce Mines break-and-enter, theft

Male and female suspects broke into a shed located on Poplar Dale Road on Sept. 25 and stole numerous items; some of them have been recovered on Mclean Road in Plummer Additional Township

Crime Stoppers and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in relation to break-and-enter and theft stemming from an incident north of Bruce Mines.

According to Crime Stoppers, a male and female suspects broke into a shed on a property located on Poplar Dale Road on Sept. 25 and stole numerous items from the inside of the shed and from the outlying property.  

In early October 2022, some of the stolen items were found hidden in a wooded area and recovered on Mclean Road in Plummer Additional Township. 

The recovered items included: 

  • a grey Honda Fourtrax 300 ATV, 
  • a Honda water pump, 
  • an air compressor, 
  • tools, 
  • camping and fishing gear.  

Several items stolen from the property have not yet been found, which include:

  • Electric Air Compressor with orange air hose
  • Fisker Axe with black handle and orange lettering
  • Stihl 362 chainsaw with laser bar and orange tap on the bottom of the bull start
  • Two pairs of chainsaw chaps, one orange pair and one navy blue pair.  

Crime Stoppers shared a photo of the suspect vehicle - a dark pickup truck - that was captured on a trail camera. 

Anyone who may identify the suspect(s) and help officers conduct an arrest can receive a cash reward.
