Snow likely on the way, just in time for Halloween

Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake

First major snowfall of the season Hallowe'en Night.

Snow continues over the region and is expected to become heavy at times tonight. The snow may be mixed with ice pellets at times, especially in the North Bay area.

Snow is expected to taper off to flurries Friday morning.

Total snowfall amounts near 15 cm are expected across the region with a few higher amounts up to 30 cm possible especially near the Quebec Border.

Hazardous winter driving conditions are expected Thursday night.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
