Our Lady of Lourdes French Immersion Catholic School at 139 Mississauga Avenue East is hosting a free breakfast for parents and children registered for Junior Kindergarten in September next year.

“Your child is eligible to register for Junior Kindergarten, beginning in September 2020,”

Principal Stephane Prevost said in an invitation to parents and students. “The Lourdes family invites you and your child to participate in a variety of activities - having the opportunity to tour the school, see the classrooms, as well as join us for school wide activities.”

The free breakfast is meant to give children registered to start school next year an opportunity to get an inside look at the school, it’s current group of young students and participate in activities.

“We will gather as a school community to share a meal. This would be a wonderful experience to see the school spirit and join in an activity, also seeing the current Kindergarten students in action! It would be amazing for you to be a part of this community activity,” Prevost said.

The school plans a number of activities throughout the year to get parents and students acquainted with what Lourdes offers. A similar day was held in September with students and parents invited to attend the school and take in a number of activities both at the school and in the community. The school offered a free lunch for those who attended the September event.

The breakfast will serve eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, cereal and yogurt bar, juice, water, milk and waffle station.

“If you have any questions - please do not ever hesitate to reach out - we would be glad to assist you! We look forward to building relationships with you,” the principal added.

The school can be reached by calling 705-848-3421 or by email at [email protected].

Those planning to attend are asked to contact the school by Nov. 5.

The breakfast takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
