Santa visits Blind River

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were greeted by a large crowd lining the parade route Friday night

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made an evening visit to Blind River Friday and were greeted by a large crowd lining the parade route.

The parade was organized by the Blind River Ladies Hockey League and attracted some 30 floats with over 100 volunteers assisting along the Lakeside Avenue route.

At the end of the parade children were invited for a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Bea Jensen Pavilion to talk about their Christmas wish list.

Organizers are already planning next year’s event.
