Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for tonight into Saturday.

Flurries and possible snow squalls are expected to develop later this evening as increasing southwest winds bring moisture in from Lake Michigan. Latest analysis suggests that the strongest activity will remain east of the city of Sault Ste. Marie.

Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 15 cm are possible in some areas.

Travel conditions along Highway 17 between Sault Ste. Marie and Elliot Lake are likely to be hazardous at times tonight into Saturday. Motorists are advised to watch for quickly changing weather conditions and adjust their driving accordingly.
