Looking for something to do this Valentine's Day with your sweetie? Why not celebrate lovers day at the Moose Lodge for this year's Pre-Valentine's Day dance party.

AstroRabbit Entertainment's very own DJ Herb will be spinning tunes and requests on Feb. 9 for the dance party.

The local company began last year when Corey McKenzie promoted an event that was held at Dunlop Lake Lodge as well as a two-night musical festival at the Moose Lodge called AugustFest, which hosted bands from Elliot Lake, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie. He decided on the name AstroRabbit Entertainment at this time.

For those interested in the dance party, according to AstroRabbit Entertainment's social media account, guests will be entering the Moose Lodge to decorations provided by AstroRabbit Entertainment's decoration team.

"The previews are looking like it's going to be pretty snazzy up in there," the post explains. "You'll be welcomed by some classic drinking music from classic rocks greats AC/DC, the Stones, and that type to get you warmed up and ready to party."

AstroRabbit Entertainment is not only about hosting parties. On there website, visitors will also find the AstroRabbit Radio with a playlist of music. This playlist includes a collection of playlists from independant music from Canada, United States, Norway and Australia. These playlists will give you a taste of what to expect at the Pre-Valentine's dance party.

According to McKenzie, there will be prizes and tunes to keep the body moving all night.

"Doors open at 8:00 p.m on February 9," he said. "The night will feature a live DJ, AstroRabbit's own DJ Herb, with equipment by Mobile Sounds, playing all the audience's favourites, keeping the dance floor packed all night. There will be giveaways from AstroRabbit Entertainment and a prize from Our Sugar Shack."

As for admissions, McKenzie explained that there will be a collection of non-perishable food items to be donated to the local food bank.

"Admission is $10 or $5 and a non-perishable food item, with all food and a portion of proceeds going to the Elliot Lake food bank. AstroRabbit is offering a ladies discount of $5 or only $2 and a non-perishable food item."
