Special weather statement in effect for:
- Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
A moisture laden low pressure system from the Southern United States is expected to track northeastward across Lake Superior by Wednesday night.
Rain could become heavy at times overnight into the Wednesday night, with total rainfall amounts possibly approaching 50 mm.
The rain will taper off to a few showers by Thursday as the low moves over Lake Superior towards James Bay.
If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
