Elliot Lake St. Joseph Hospital CT Scan d fundraiser received a $5,435 joint donation from two of the city’s quilting groups. The cheque saw the Elliot Lake Quilt Guild donate $4,000 from this year’s quilt auction. The Smile Quilters donation of $735 came from the selling of the group’s inventory after it halted operation due to dwindling membership. The Guild was started in 1996 and currently has about 50 members and has donated about $50,000 back to community groups since it started.
