MUNICIPALITY OF HURON SHORES - On Sept. 22, 2017, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Canine Unit began an extensive ground search for an elderly male in the Municipality of Huron Shores.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2017, 71-year-old Laurence Folz of Blind River, Ont., was located deceased on a property on Willis Road. The investigation is continuing. No foul play is suspected at this time and a post mortem date has yet to be determined.
The OPP wishes to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.
