The Cameco Blind River Refinery is hosting its inaugural Charity Golf Tournament at Huron Pines Golf & Country Club on August 19, 2022 in support of Cameco’s Step Up for Mental Health initiative.

Step Up for Mental Health, powered by Cameco, recognizes the importance of and need for mental health resources in the local community, and that funding for mental health services is essential to help improve access and support for those who need it.

“Mental health affects all of us, whether it is through our own experiences or those of our friends and family,” said Terry Davis, general manager, Cameco Blind River Refinery. “Funding mental health initiatives is essential to helping make sure there are resources and supports in our community for those who need them.”

Registration for the tournament is $110 per player and includes golf, a cart and lunch. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available, some of which include spots for golfers. To registersponsor or make a donation, please visit www.camecofuel.com/golf.

All funds raised from the tournament will support the Cameco Fund for Mental Health, with funds raised in Blind River supporting mental health initiatives and projects in the Blind River area.

Applications for funding will be open in the fall of 2022 and will be adjudicated by a panel that includes local mental health professionals and representatives from Cameco.
