The annual Elliot Lake Fire Services Christmas Food Drive will be taking place on Dec. 2.
Door-to-door pickup will be starting at 10 a.m. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the food drive will happen Dec. 3.
Non-perishable food items are needed to help the local food bank stock up their shelves for the Christmas season. Donors are asked to be mindful of expiry and best before dates.
If you are wishing to participate in the food drive using your own vehicle, pre-registering is required with Elliot Lake Fire Services at the Fire Hall on Hillside Drive North.
If you are one of the many volunteers who will either be walking or driving, you will need to be at the Fire Hall at 9:15 a.m in order to get instructions and to be present for draws and refreshments.
