French Catholic board's new director of learning brings over 20 years of experience to the role

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon has a new Director of Learning for Grades 7-12, the school board announced in a news release issued today. 

Ms. Guylaine Rheault, who joined the CSC Nouvelon in 1998 and has taught at various elementary and secondary schools, brings experience and training in administrative management and in the field of learning at the intermediate and senior levels to her new role, which she'll settle into as of  Aug. 18, 2021.

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Guylaine Rheault as Director of Learning for Grades 7 to 12. Ms. Rheault brings her educational training in administrative management and relevant experience in the field of learning at the intermediate and senior levels to her new role which she will take up on Aug. 18, 2021.  

Guylaine Rheault joined the CSC Nouvelon in 1998 and has taught at various elementary and secondary schools including Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) and École secondaire du Sacré-Coeur (Sudbury). Since 2014, she has held the role of learning advisor at the intermediate and senior divisions (grades 7 to 12) - guidance and student success component. In this latter role, Ms. Rheault acquired a sound knowledge of ministry initiatives and programs aimed at student success and of the province’s elementary and secondary education system. Ms. Rheault has also established ties with various partners to ensure the implementation of various ministerial initiatives leading to the successful transition of students to various post-secondary destinations.  

Ms. Rheault can draw on broad expertise that will be highly useful in her new role. Thanks to her knowledge of the educational environment and the school board priorities, she is ideally suited to lead the grade 7 to 12 learning team and ensure the efficient and responsible management of the CSC Nouvelon.  

“While displaying remarkable leadership capabilities in creating partnerships and coordinating various programs promoting student success, Guylaine stood out for her ability to support the board’s elementary and secondary schools,” explained CSC Nouvelon Director of Education, Mr. Paul Henry. “Ms. Rheault stands out for her excellent understanding of the strategic plan as well as the overall structure and functioning of our school board.”
