A mischief call has resulted in firearms charges for a Windsor man in the North Shore Township, OPP say.

Police say on Thursday around 2:20 p.m., a complainant reported to OPP that a person was camping and blocking access to a lake off Highway 108.

When police made contact with the two people in the tent, they found that they had firearms without a valid license.

As a result, two firearms and ammunition were seized.

Kenneth Rivers, 64, was charge with unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Sept. 1, 2020.
