Grade 11 student Tyra Swan, a member of the Youth Action Committee at École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River), is leading the "Fill the Cradle" initiative to support families in her community.

Until Dec. 10, Tyra and the committee members will collect donations that will support parents by providing them with essential items for their babies and children.

Items being sought include diapers, wipes and baby clothes. We also accept donations of money that will go towards the purchase of specific items for families.

Tyra Swan invites school friends and all members of the community to come to the school, located at 117 Youngfox Drive, in Elliot Lake, and to place donated items or cash donations in the baby cradle located in the school entrance.
