Elliot Lakers welcome Santa (15 photos)

The one-hour parade featured decorative floats, dancers and Christmas characters

Santa arrived in Elliot Lake this evening in a parade that reminded many of parades held in pre-pandemic times.

The hour-long parade featured decorative floats, dancers, Christmas characters, emergency services, clubs, schools and the city’s new council along the route from Scotia Bank to city hall.

Even the weather cooperated with warming temperatures than what residents are accustomed to this time of year and particularly in conjunction with the Santa Claus parade.

The parade is in advance of many Christmas specials taking place in Elliot Lake prior to Christmas Day, many of which can be found on the city website.
