TORONTO - Although she has her prize money in hand, Debra Latour of Elliot Lake is still in disbelief after winning a $250,000 top prize with Instant Ice (Game #2049).

“I need to get used to the idea that I won a quarter of a million dollars!” laughed Debra, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her windfall.

Debra scratched her way to a top prize when she played her Instant Ice ticket at her home. “I made myself a coffee while I played and I noticed that the symbols were matching up. I kept taking my glasses on and off to readjust my eyes because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing!”

Before validating her ticket with her regular retailer, Debra shared the good news with her husband of 35 years. “He turned ghost white and gave me a kiss.”

Debra plans to take some time before spending her winnings. “Right away, I will celebrate with the people I love – my husband, my daughter and my grandchildren. But then I will bank my winnings until I am no longer in shock – winning the lottery has my heart working overtime!”

Instant Ice is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning a prize are one in 3.89.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hillside Shop and Save on Hillside Drive in Elliot Lake.
