For the second month running, the Lions Club in Elliot Lake is asking people to link their gift card purchases to pay their expenses.
They're suggesting people buy things such as Christmas tree decorations and other seasonal purchases with gift cards.
You can also use gift cards to cover your grocery bills and your expenses at specialty stores.
If you don’t want to give gift cards, you can still use them to buy the gifts you need to purchase and raise funds to support the Elliot Lake Lions fundraising campaign at the same time.
If you participate in annual food bank collection drives for example, you may not know that they often use gift cards to give to the ones in need. The gift cards are also handy for last minute gift decisions.
To get involved, you can send an e-transfer to [email protected].
Choose the cards and amounts you want in the memo box.
The next order will be submitted Sunday, Nov. 1 and will be delivered in one week.
