Elliot Lake Figure Skaters place well in Sault Ste. Marie competition

Club's next event is in Sudbury February 21 to 23

Three skaters from the Elliot Lake Figure Skating Club placed well Jan. 10 to 12 at Super Series #7 competition recently in Sault Ste. Marie 

Davina Weber, who's 12, competed in four events in the Star 3 FreeSkate she got the silver, Davina came through with gold in the Star 2 Elements competition. In Showcase 1 she scored another gold in her first time competing in this event. In the Creative Improv 1 competition, it was another gold for Davina.

First-time competitors Charlotte Parsons, 9, and Khloe Duchesne, 8, both skated in the Star 1 FreeSkate event. Charlotte was rewarded with bronze and Khloe with merit. Charlotte also participated in the creative Improv 1 event receiving bronze.

All three skaters were thrilled with their performances and are looking forward to their next event in Sudbury at the Super Series #14 on Feb. 21 to 23.

The Elliot Lake skaters are coached by head coach Chantal Robert and coach Sarah Girard.
