NEWS RELEASE
ELLIOT LAKE EMERGENCY FOOD BANK
******************************
The Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank (ELEFB) has formed an alliance with the Spanish Food Bank.

Len Kutchaw, ELEFB President and 2022 Elliot Lake Council Candidate announces that his team is committed to providing other local food banks with the resources and supplies necessary to help support their facilities.

Theresa Hiuser, the interim Executive Director of Maplegate House has helped facilitate this much needed partnership amongst local food banks.

This collaboration will help ensure that the nutritional needs of the vulnerable population are being met along the North Shore.

Kutchaw and Hiuser teamed up earlier this year to also collaborate on another food security initiative called the Harvest Kitchen that will begin late October 2022. Both agree that these partnerships are necessary to ensure that everyone in our local area has access to nutritious food.

The goal and vision of this partnership is to help alleviate food insecurity along the North Shore by sharing resources and working together with our neighbouring communities.

For more information please contact Len Kutchaw at 705-461-3663 or by email at [email protected]
