Elections Ontario offers new job opportunities

The 2022 general election is set for June 2, and Elections Ontario is hiring in the Algoma–Manitoulin riding.  

Elections Ontario is seeking election officials and accepting applications until May 31. The jobs are paid and will include training. The positions will require the use of either paper-based or technology tools.

Individuals 16 years of age or older who have a social insurance number can work as an information assistant.

To work as a tabulator deputy returning officer, applicants must be at least 16 years old, a Canadian citizen, legally entitled to work in Canada and be a resident of Ontario.

To work as an election official, applicants must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, legally entitled to work in Canada and be a resident of Ontario.

Election Ontario poll officials and revising agents who work in long-term care facilities or hospital settings must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per Ontario government pandemic requirements.
