Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing New Democrats will meet to nominate their candidate for the upcoming election this Thursday (March 14) in Elliot Lake. Incumbent MP, Carol Hughes will stand for the nomination which is expected to be uncontested.
The meeting will take place at Georges Restaurant, 5 Mountain Rd in Elliot Lake. Organizers are pleased to note the space is wheelchair accessible. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be closed when the meeting is called to order.
Carol Hughes has been a Member of Parliament since 2008 and is seeking a fourth term representing Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing.
