Students usually stand out for their academic achievements and contributions to their school. However, during his four years at École secondaire catholique La Renaissance (Espanola), it was mainly for his remarkable efforts that Dean McNichol distinguished himself among the graduating class.
Having lived through many hardships during his life, Dean amazed his school entourage with his resilience. While many would have resigned themselves to their fate, his openness and positivism enabled him to overcome obstacles with great maturity and motivation. His personal development was outstanding.
Dean is in control of his personal path in life. This year, he found his place in a cooperative education (COOP) placement that will soon become his job during his post-secondary studies. Dean is an exemplary model of determination and resilience. The Lynx are extremely proud of the journey taken by this student.
