On Nov. 30, residents will be able to attend a presentation hosted by the Ontario Provincial Police concerning protecting oneself against online and telephone scams.

The reasoning for the session is due to the fact that the OPP have been receiving continuous complaints from local residents about the Canada Revenue Agency contacting them either through emails or through phone.

Constable Phil Young will be doing a Senior's Public Presentation to help senior citizens understand which emails are scams and which are real.

The presentation will happen at the Lester B. Pearson Civic Center at 1:30 p.m. The presentation is open to all ages to protect themselves against internet scams and online safety.
