On July 26, Goodnight, Sunrise will be coming to Elliot Lake to play at the Masonic Lodge in celebration of their new single WVV. The man who booked this appearance is Corey McKenzie, the Elliot Lake entertainment and music promoter who's responsible for next month's planned Atomic Music Fest, a 16-act heavy metal music extravaganza over three days, playing Aug. 9-11 at Elliot Lake's Mount Dufour Ski Hill.

An indie-rock-and-roll-super-fun-dance-party band from Toronto - Goodnight, Sunrise was founded in 2011 through a shared love of pop hooks, EDM drops, and the raw power of classic rock. Their sound has naturally evolved into a hybrid reminiscent of CHVRCHES, Muse, and July Talk. They’ve taken their explosive live show to over 300 audiences across Canada, U-S, and Europe, and as an opening act for Bon Jovi, Monster Truck, and The Sheepdogs.

McKenzie told ElliotLakeToday, "Goodnight, Sunrise was first introduced to me through my good friends in August Rise from Sudbury. Since meeting this great group of people, I was able to get Goodnight, Sunrise a headlining act at last year's Rocking on the River in Blind River, co-headlining with August Rise." He added, "Their performance had the crowd going and there was many positive reviews, so I decided to book them for a follow-up show, right here in Elliot Lake."

Tickets for both events are available online at AstroRabbit Entetainment, Mr. McKenzie's company, or at AstroRabbit's downtown headquarters next to The Source, at 19 Newfoundland Walk.
