Algoma Public Health reports one new COVID-19 case in the Sault

This is the 486 case in the region since the beginning of the pandemic

Algoma Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

This case, #486, has been classified as close contact, meaning that the individual was exposed through another known case.

The individual was tested on Oct. 19 and is self-isolating.

There are currently seven active cases in the Algoma Public Health region.
