Meadow Park Montessori School

Reader favourite

Welcome!

It’s been over twelve years and I’m still very excited to have returned home to Sault Ste. Marie to share my passion and education of Montessori in our community.

We continue to grow at our beautiful location on Elizabeth Street and I would personally like to invite you to come in and have a tour of our facility, meet our staff and learn more about our current programs and our recent expansion to introduce Montessori at the elementary levels, beginning with grades one, two, and three.

Please contact us anytime to schedule an appointment for a one-on-one tour or if you have any questions regarding our precasa, casa, lower elementary programs or if you would simply like more detailed information about the Montessori method of learning.

Sincerely.

Tricia Harding
Head Directress

PreCasa – Starting at 18 Months

Meadow Park Montessori School follows the Montessori philosophy of learning and is recognized as a licensed child care facility in the province of Ontario, meeting all the requirements of the New Child Care and Early Years Act. Our PreCasa Program operates at a 1:5 student/teacher ratio...

Casa Program

A casa classroom at Meadow Park feels very different from a traditional Early Childhood Development Centre. Rather than placing a teacher or supervisor at the centre, here you’ll find students directing their own activities and learning from one another.

Lower Elementary

The lower elementary program is shared by students ages 6 to 9. At this level, the focus continues on concrete learning and promoting independence, discipline, and social skills. Most days in the classroom have a three-hour uninterrupted work period.
