The North Shore Health Network will reopen the Thessalon Site Emergency Department effective 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
The Thessalon site was closed as a temporary precaution in support of patient and worker safety on Friday, April 3, 2020, as healthcare workers at the site were tested for COVID-19 symptoms.
NSHN is able to confirm that COVID-19 test results for all tested healthcare workers at the Thessalon site have returned and are “negative.”
The in-patient beds at the Thessalon site will remain empty and in-patient services will continue to be redirected to Blind River at the current time.
It is requested that patients only visit the Emergency Department at this time if in need of urgent care.
