SUDBURY - Students from Lansdowne Public School on two shared bus routes are required to self-isolate up to and including Jan. 29 due to a possible exposure to COVID-19 not related to the school, according to a letter posted to the Rainbow District School Board’s website.

The school board said there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 as Lansdowne Public School at this time, and the school remains open for in-person learning.

The school implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfecting before classes began this morning.

The board also said the morning elementary run on Route L118 and the afternoon elementary run on Route L011 are cancelled (the Sudbury Student Services Consortium said on its Twitter account this morning that the cancellations were due to a driver shortage — we’ll follow up to hopefully clear up this discrepancy).

The board said the affected students, their parents/guardians and relevant bus drivers have been notified.

Public health was to follow up directly with parents/guardians of students on these bus routes.
