Algoma Public Health is reporting a new COVID-19 case in the Algoma district.
The exposure category is unknown at this time and the person is currently self-isolating.
It is the 25th case in the region thus far.
Close contacts have been notified.
In a release, APH also said the unknown exposure "is evidence of ongoing community spread in Sault Ste. Marie and area."
