Blind River mayor, Sally Hagman, sent out greetings in her regular public address during Monday evening’s virtual council meeting.

“There certainly is the feeling of fall in the air as our trees are turning brilliant shades of red, orange and yellow,” she said of the changing season.

“This weekend some of you will be reuniting with loved ones either at your home or at theirs. Please, follow the Algoma Public Health Guidelines by ensuring that everyone is vaccinated and wear a mask where required. We want you to continue to be both healthy and safe.”

She also sent out a reminder of the upcoming Witches Dance.

“Oct. 16, 2021 is the Fall Festival on Woodward Avenue. Our witches will be dancing up a storm,” she said. “The Well will be hosting its grand opening and the street will be closed to allow vendors to sell their goodies.”
