Another 14 new COVID-19 cases reported by Public Health Sudbury on Saturday

Another 14 COVID-19 cases were reported by Public Health Sudbury & Districts Saturday, the same number of cases reported in the region yesterday.

That brings the total number of cases in the region since the pandemic began to 445.

There are currently 63 active cases in the region, an increase of 11 over yesterday.

Of the new cases, one is outbreak-related, three more are considered to be close contact of a confirmed case, while the remaining 10 are classified as information pending or missing. 

All 14 of the new cases are people who live in Greater Sudbury.

Most of the new cases (6) are among people age 19 and younger, while three are among people aged 20-39, four are among people aged 40-59 and one among the age group of 60-79.

There are currently nine people with COVID-19 admitted to Health Sciences North. None are in the ICU. HSN also has seven other patients under investigation for COVID-19, one of whom is in the ICU.
