The Role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for THRIVE’s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission and current strategic plan.

Skills Required

You are an existing CEO or senior leader with five or more years of senior level leadership experience in a not-for-profit organization with an appropriate graduate degree for this position including but not limited to public administration, business administration, health, or social services. Your skills and experience include:
• Strong, energetic, inclusive and decisive leadership style
• Highly developed strategic planning and policy development
• Very strong financial and commercial acumen including business planning, analysis, negotiating, as well as experience/knowledge in market-based models
• Experience in building effective relationships with government, community sectors and peer organizations
• Superior communication and people leadership skills

As one of twenty-one children’s treatment centres across Ontario, THRIVE is a well-established organization supporting over 1100 children & youth from 0-18 years of age across the District of Algoma. These children and youth are impacted by differences in physical, perceptual, communication and/or developmental trajectories.
