RECALL: Consumers told to immediately stop using recalled heaters

Product: Thermosphere and Mastercraft Ceiling-Mounted 7500W/240V Electric Utility Workshop/Garage Heater, Model EH-4604BY with Remote Control & Thermostat
Issue: Consumer products - Fire hazard
What to do: Immediately stop using the recalled products and bring them back to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund.

Affected products

This recall expansion now includes Mastercraft model EH-4604BY products with date codes ending in 2021 (date codes ending in 2020 were included in the recall notice originally published on May 5, 2022).

Issue

The affected units could overheat, potentially posing a burn and fire hazard.

As of April 17, 2023, the companies have received 17 reports of incidents in Canada and no report of injuries.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Thermosphere and Mastercraft Ceiling Mounted 7500W/240V Electric Utility Workshop/Garage Heater with Remote Control & Thermostat and return them to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund.
