The Sudbury OPP are investigating after human remains were found in the bush in the area of Lakes End Road and Tilton Lake Road on Dec. 8.
The call came into Greater Sudbury Police Service on Tuesday, but it turns out the area is actually OPP jurisdiction, so the investigation was handed over to the provincial police.
Sudbury OPP media relations officer Const. Michelle Coulombe told Sudbury.com information is limited this morning. She did say the Criminal Investigations Division out of Orillia is investigating.
At this time, neither the gender, approximate age of the person nor the state of the body are available, Coulombe said.
